You can set or assign an IP address of the network you want to use on your Android devices. By default on your Android lollipop 5.1.1 and marshmallow 6.0 device, IP settings set as DHCP. How to Set Up a Static IP Address on Android Phone or Tablet
Step 1: Open the “Settings” app on your Android Lollipop 5.1.1 devices.
Step 2: Tap on “Wi-Fi” under the connection section.
Step 3: Tap and hold on “Network name” want to set up a static IP address on the Android device.
Step 4: Tap on “Manage network settings”.
You can see the above screen on your Android lollipop 5.1.1 device, tick mark the checkbox of “Show advanced options”.
Step 5: Tap on “IP settings” option & Click “Static”.
