Step 1: Go to Settings in your pixel
Step 2: Under Wireless & networks, tap on Wi-Fi
By default disable Wi-Fi in your devices.
Step 3: Turn on Wi-Fi
You will see various lists of Wi-Fi networks nearby your location.
Step 4: Long press on your Wi-Fi network
Here you can see two options, one is Forget network and another is Modify network
Step 5: Tap on Modify network
Step 6: Tap on advanced options
Here you can view Proxy and IP settings options. By default set IP settings as DHCP in your Google Pixel devices.
Step 7: Change IP settings DHCP to Static in your pixel device
Various options see including IP address, Gateway, Network prefix length, DNS 1 and DNS 2.
Step 8: Change IP address and tap connect

Android lollipop (5.1.1) and marshmallow (Android 6.0):
Settings > Wi-Fi > Enable Wi-Fi > Long press connected network > Modify network > Show advance options > IP Settings > Static > Assign new IP address
