You can factory data reset or hard reset Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 4 using below given complete guide.
Step 1: Confirm Powered off your Google Pixel 4 & 4 XL.
Step 2: Long press the power button and volume down button at the same time until the screen turns on.
Step 3: Press the volume down button until Recovery mode appears on the screen.
Step 4: Press the Power button to enter your Pixel 4 into recovery mode.
Now see the Android Robot exclamation mark with the “No command” symbol appear on the screen.
