Recently updated my YouTube app and I can see the new dark theme option added under general settings. Let see how to enable dark mode on YouTube on Android and Desktop in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Using this YouTube dark theme, all YouTube app background screen black & look light such as searches, videos, and other pages. So you can comfortably watch videos in low light. It also helps to improve battery life on your android device.
You can enable or disable dark themes on YouTube on Android devices under YouTube general settings. This YouTube dark mode feature makes it easier to look at your screen or watch a video in dim light.

How to Enable Dark Mode in YouTube on Android Device
Make sure the YouTube app updated to the latest version. If you can’t find a dark theme option, check the YouTube app update is available in your android device.
Open Play store > Three vertical dots at the top left corner > My apps & games > Update all
Now if an update is available, your app automatically updates to the latest version.
How to Turn On Dark Mode in YouTube on Android Phone
Step 1: Open the YouTube app in your Android phone or tablet device.
Step 2: Tap the Profile icon at the upper right side corner.
Step 3: Select Settings.
Here you can see YouTube app settings in your android devices.
Step 4: Tap General.
By default turned off dark theme on YouTube android or iPhone.
Step 5: Toggle on Dark theme toggle to activate YouTube dark mode in Android
Now you can see the black background in the YouTube app in your Android device.
Using Android 10:
Open YouTube app > Profile icon at the top right corner > Settings > General > Appearance > Choose from Use device theme/Light theme/Dark theme

If you don’t like this YouTube’s dark theme feature, you can easily turn off using YouTube settings.
Open YouTube app > Profile icon > Settings > General > Appearance > Choose light theme

Step 1: Open YouTube in your PC browser.
Step 2: Tap on Three vertical dots at the top right corner.
Step 3: Tap on Dark theme.
Step 4: By default turned off Dark Theme.
Step 5: Toggle on Dark theme and you can see a dark background on YouTube on your Chrome or Mozilla or other browsers.
