How to Set Up Google Pixel 3 Face Unlock (Android 8.1 & 9 Pie)
You can unlock your device using the below-given steps to set up facial recognition on Pixel 3 XL and Pixel 3.
Step 1: Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen in your Pixel to open the app drawer.
Step 2: Tap Settings.
Step 3: Scroll down up to security.
Step 4: Tap Smart lock under the device security section.
You can see 5 Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smart lock options.
Step 5: Tap the Trusted face.
Note: Face recognition is less secure than a PIN, pattern or password. Someone who looks like you could unlock your Pixel device easily.
Step 6: Tap Set up.
Step 7: Tap Next.
Step 8: Now hold the phone at eye level and show your face on round circle to add a trusted face on Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
Step 9: After complete the process, tap Done
Step 10: To unlock your Pixel, just turn on your screen and look at the camera. Your phone will unlock when your face is recognized.
You can improve face matching on different conditions such as different lighting, with or without prescription glasses, bearded or clean shaven, etc. Also, remove trusted face on Pixel 3 XL and Pixel 3.
Settings > Security > Device security > Smart lock > Trusted face > Remove trusted face > Remove
