How to change icon shape in Android Q 10

Google launched android Q Beta 1 for all Pixel devices. Recently downloaded and install Android Q developer preview 1 to my Google Pixel first generation. Android Q feature includes privacy protection, sharing shortcuts, foldable phone support, improve network connectivity security, camera, media & graphics and more. But in this tutorial, I’ll show you how to change icon shape in Android Q 10 Beta 1 on Pixel, Pixel 2, Pixel 3 XL etc.

By default Android 10 icon shape set as round icon. We use home screen settings to change icon shape on Android 9 Pie. But android Q Beta 1, you can change the home screen icon shape using developer settings. Follow below given step by step process to change icon shape in Android Q 10.

How to change icon shape in Android Q 10 Beta 1

To change android Q icon shape in your all Pixel devices, make sure turn on developer mode on android 10 Q devices.

Step 1: Swipe down notification panel from top of the screen and tap Settings gear icon

Step 2: Tap System

Step 3: Tap about phone

Step 4: Scroll down up to end of the page and tap Build number 7 times or tap until see “you are now developer! message on your Pixel devices

Step 5: Now enable developer mode in android 10 Q devices

Step 6: To see developer option settings, Go to settings > System > Advanced > Developer options

Step 1: Open app drawer in your Pixel and tap Settings app

Step 2: Tap System

Step 3: Tap Advanced

Step 4: Tap Developer options

Scroll down up to end of the page and you can see theming section that useful to change android Q accent color, headline / default body font and icon shape.

Step 6: Choose from Device default / Teardrop / Squircle / Rounded Rectangle
