Do you want to change the accent color on your Google Pixel 8 series? In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to change the color palette on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. You can set Pixel system accent colors to choose wallpaper or other colors. These system colors affect the colors of quick panel icons, text, and match colors in your wallpaper.
Google Pixel’s material UI design will automatically set the color scheme to the selected wallpaper. Swipe down the notification panel at the top to see changes in color in the quick settings tiles, brightness, toggle buttons, and other settings.

How to Change Color Palette on Your Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro
You can personalize material UI theme colors on Google Pixel devices. Not all apps support material UI.
Tap and hold the blank space on your Pixel home screen and tap the Wallpaper & style.
Tap Three horizontal dots to view the material UI colors.
You can see the Wallpaper colors or Other colors. Select any option and choose a color you want to set as your Google Pixel system color.
Swipe down the notification twice at the top to view the changes in quick settings color.
Alternative Way: Settings > Wallpaper & style > Three horizontal dots > Choose from Wallpaper colors or Other colors > Choose any color.
How to Change the Colors Mode (Screen Colors) on Google Pixel
By default, Adaptive color mode is set on your Google Pixel devices.
To change the screen color mode, open the Settings and tap the Display.
Tap the Colors in the color section and choose a color from Natural, Boosted, or Adptive.

You can customize material You feature includes new wallpaper & basic colors, a dark theme, and themed icons.
Enable Themed Icons on Google Pixel
Themes icons change the home screen system app’s accent color. You can’t see any changes to your Pixel’s app drawer.
Go to Settings > Wallpaper & style > Home screen at the top > Toggle on Themed icons.
Enable Dark Theme on Google Pixel
When you activate dark them on your Pixel, it’ll not change to the system color. You can see a minor effect depending on the current wallpaper and theme.
Pull down the notification panel at the top & tap Dark Theme to turn it on/off.
