How to Enable/Disable Smart WiFi Switch on OnePlus 5/OnePlus 5T
Step 1: Go to Settings in your OnePlus 5 device.
Step 2: Tap on Wi-Fi under the wireless & network section.
Step 3: Tap on the Settings gear icon at the top right side corner.
Here you’ll see smart Wi-Fi switcher, network notification, keep Wi-Fi on during sleep, MAC address, IP address, and other options. By default disable smart Wi-Fi switcher in your OnePlus 5 devices.
Step 4: Turn on the toggle button of the Smart Wi-Fi switcher.
Now your OnePlus 5 device will automatically connect a high signal strength network.

Step 1: Go to Settings in your OnePlus 5.

Step 3: Tap on three vertical dots at the top right side corner.
Step 4: Select Advanced.
Here you’ll see OnePlus 5 Advanced Wi-Fi settings such as Wi-Fi frequency band, WPS push button, WPS pin entry, and WAPI certificate management options.
Step 5: Tap on the Wi-Fi frequency band option.
Step 6: Choose from Automatic/5 GHz only/2.4 GHz only.
