Here’s how to change the navigation buttons in Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. You can switch between the navigation buttons and gestures. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to go home. Swipe up from the bottom, hold, then release to access the recent apps. Swipe from either the left or right edge to go back. Also, adjust your Pixel phones’ left or right edge back sensitivity. Higher sensitivity may conflict with any app gestures along the edges of the screen.
If you don’t want to use full-screen gesture navigation, you can set the 3-button navigation on the Google Pixel 8 series. You can’t change your Google Pixel devices’ back and recent button order.
