How to Activate Unknown Sources on Samsung Galaxy S9 And S9 Plus

Samsung Galaxy S9 unknown sources feature to allow the installation of apps from unknown sources other than Samsung apps or Google Play store. You can download apk files or other third-party apps in your galaxy S9, but can’t install those apps if disable unknown sources. First of all turn on unknown sources on Samsung S9 & S9 plus allows users to install third-party apps without play store or galaxy App.

Step 1: Swipe down the notification panel and tap on the Settings gear icon.

Step 2: Tap Lock screen and security.

Here you can see by default turn off unknown source toggle button under the security section.

Step 3: Turn on the Unknown sources toggle button.

Now download third-party apps and install them in your Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus devices. In the latest Android devices, Google has removed unknown sources option. You can see a new Install unknown apps option instead of unknown sources.

Step 1: Go to settings in your latest Samsung devices.

Step 2: Scroll down up to Biometrics and security settings and open it.

Step 3: Tap on install unknown apps.

By default, all applications selected “not allowed”.

Step 1: Swipe down the notification panel and tap on Settings.

Step 2: Tap Apps & notifications.

Step 3: Tap Advanced.

Step 4: Tap Special app access.

Step 5: Scroll down at the end of the page and tap Install unknown apps

You can see a list of apps in your android Oreo devices.

Step 6: Tap any apps you want to enable to install unknown apps.

Step 7: Toggle on Allow from this source.
