WhatsApp is adding new features of “WhatsApp two-step verification” that provide extra security to your WhatsApp account. Here’s how to activate or enable two-step verification WhatsApp android phone or tablet device. This WhatsApp 2 step verification requires 6-digit passcode when registering your mobile number with WhatsApp again. You can also add an email address to your account which will be used to reset your passcode if forget it.
In WhatsApp already added end to end encryption security features, which provides security so WhatsApp and third parties can’t read or listen. When registering your WhatsApp phone number again in your account, you’ll need to enter set passcode. Using WhatsApp account settings, you can disable two-step verification, change the passcode, and change the email address. How To Activate 2 Step Verification on WhatsApp Android Phone
Step 1: Tap “Apps” on your android phone.
Step 2: Open the “WhatsApp” app.
Step 3: Tap on “Three vertical dots” from top of the right side corner.
Step 4: Touch “Settings”.
Step 5: Tap on “Account”.
Step 6: Under Account section, tap on “Two-step verification”.
You can show below the screen on your device.
Step 7: Tap on “Enable”.
Step 8: Enter a 6-digit passcode & touch “Next”.
This set passcode you entered will be asked when you register your phone number again WhatsApp account.
Step 9: Again enter your passcode to confirm it & tap on “Next”.
Step 10: Add email address & tap on next.
Add your email address, it will be helpful to you if you forget the passcode.
Step 11: Confirm your email address again & press “Save”.

Step 12: Tap on “Done”.
