Change or set custom ringtone Moto G4 plus device. In Moto G4 plus (Android 7.0 Nougat) device, you can not directly set phone ringtone from your device. First of all transfer mp3 ringtone from PC / Laptop to your Moto G4 plus and other android phone. Different android device is different settings to change by default ringtone. In my Samsung galaxy J7 device, directly add ringtone from device storage and easily set it. But in Moto G4 plus, you can not directly add ringtone from device storage.

First of all connect your phone to desktop or laptop device via USB cable. Transfer ringtone or other audio files from your PC to phone want to set ringtone. You can see this transferred audio file in your phone internal storage. After completed transfer audio file follow below steps.
Step 1: Open “File manager” on your Moto G4 plus (Android 7.0 Nougat)
Step 2: Tap on “Audios”
You can see transferred audio files.
Step 3: Tap & holds on ringtone want to set
Step 4: Click on “three vertical dots” from top right side corner
Step 5: Tap on “Copy”
In your device tap on ringtone, under internal storage.
Step 6: Click on “Paste” icon from top right side
Step 7: Go to “Settings”
Step 8: Under device section, tap on “Sound”
Step 9: Tap on “Phone ringtone”
Scroll down until see added ringtone on your device.
Step 10: Choose from custom ringtone add
To change default ringtone on android marshmallow (Android 6.0) device, follow below given steps.
Apps > Settings > Sounds and vibrations > Ringtone > Ringtone > Add from device storage > done
