You need to enable app pinning to lock the app or current screen on your Google Pixel devices:
How to Enable App Pinning on Google Pixel (Running the Android 14)
Swipe up from the bottom to open your Pixel’s app drawer and tap the Settings app.
Please scroll down to Security & privacy and tap it.
Again, scroll to the end of the screen and tap More Security & privacy in the Other settings section.
Scroll to the bottom and tap App pinning in the security section.
Toggle on Use app pinning and tap OK.
