It is easy to set notification sounds for each app on your Samsung One UI (5.0) using app settings. Also, change the notification sound for the messages app on your Samsung or Android phone.

Step 1: Go to Settings.

Step 2: Scroll down & tap on Apps.

You can see different settings, including default apps, Samsung app settings, etc.

Step 3: Select the App (We Select WhatsApp) you want to change the notification sound. 

Step 4: Tap on Notifications.

Step 5: Tap on Notification categories.

Step 6: Tap on Group notification or Message notification.

Step 7: Tap on Sound.

Step 8: Choose a Notification sound from the list you want to set as the default WhatsApp notification sound.

It’s easy to set different sounds for different apps on S21, Samsung S21 Ultra, S20 Ultra, Galaxy S20, and Samsung S22 series.

How to Change Notification Sound for Messages App on Samsung Galaxy

Using the settings, you can change the text message notification tone on your Samsung Galaxy device.

Step 1: Open the Messages app in your Samsung One UI.

Step 2: Tap on Menu (Three vertical dots) at the top right corner.

Step 3: Tap on Settings.

Step 4: Tap on Notifications.

Step 5: Tap on General Notifications.
