I want a specific ringtone for my wife and another for my son so I know who is calling.

    • You can set a specific ringtone using your contacts app. We already discussed this in the tutorial.

Open Contact app > Select the Contact > Edit > Set ringtone > Select the Ringtone

      • On an S21, I follow that string and it doesn’t show a Set Ringtone -just an option to set a vibration.

        • If you have the latest Samsung One UI 3.1, Open the Contacts app > Tap on Contact you want to set ringtone > Edit > View More > Ringtone (Before vibration pattern) > Select the Ringtone

Hi. Trying to set ringtones for contacts but my phone doesnt have a ‘Set Ringtone’ option…?

  3. I just tried what you suggested and there is no choice on the list for “Ringtone”. The list of choices stop at “Vibration pattern”

    • If you have the latest Samsung One UI 3.1, Open the Contacts app > Tap on Contact you want to set ringtone > Edit > View More > Ringtone (Before vibration pattern) > Select the Ringtone

      • Nope. That used to be a great feature, along with customizable text sounds, but nothing there now but Vibration. (S21+. Have UI 3.1). On S8, able to cusstomize conversations at leasst. On new phone, have to go outside and download from Zedge or other app. PITB.

  4. You don’t want my comment as that didn’t work. I get get my ringtones to be specific. If I change a notification for Tex messages, it uses it for all notifications. I need one just for text messages. Thank you

  5. I want my S10 back ..so much easier to navigate and personalize

  6. How can I change the ringtone for text vs messenger vs email? Is this possible? I have the Samsung Galaxy s21+plus. Thanks
