How to Hard Reset Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6

Do you want to perform a factory reset locked Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel6? Here’s how to hard reset Pixel 6 Pro using power and volume down & up buttons. Hard reset is also known as master reset with hardware buttons. When you forgot the password/pattern lock, black screen of death, unresponsive touch screen, Pixel won’t turn on, stuck on Google logo, and other issues. It will delete all your Pixel data including Google account, Internal storage, photos, videos, downloaded apps, and more. Make sure to back up & restore your data before performing a hard reset/factory reset of your Pixel 6 Pro.

Step 1: Long press the power button until view the power menu and tap the Power off.

Step 2: Touch & hold the power & volume down key at the same time until the Start button view.

Step 3: Press the volume down key until Recovery mode view.

Step 4: Press the Power key to boot into recovery mode on Pixel 6 Pro.

Step 5: You can view the Android Robot exclamation mark with No command on the screen.

Step 6: Long press power button and press the volume up button once only to go Android recovery screen.

Google Pixel 6 Pro recovery mode includes Reboot system now, Reboot to bootloader, Apply update from ADB, Apply update from SD card, Wipe data/factory reset, power off, etc.

Step 7: Press the volume down key until highlights the Wipe data/factory reset.

Step 8: Press Power key.

This message display: Wipe all user data? This cannot be undone!

Step 9: Press volume down key to select Factory data reset.

Step 10: Press Power key to access it.

Step 11: Press Power key to reboot the system in your Pixels.

How To Factory Reset Pixel 6 Pro Using Phone Settings

Step 1: Go to Phone Settings.

Step 2: Scroll down and tap System.

Step 3: Scroll down again and tap Reset options.

Step 4: Tap on Erase all data (Factory reset).

Step 5: Check the box Erase downloaded SIMs if you want to remove SIM data and tap on Erase all data at the bottom right side.

Step 6: Confirm your lock screen.

Step 7: Tap on Erase all data button.
