Step 1: Swipe down the notification panel from the top of the screen and tap the Settings gear icon.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap on Lock Screen.
Step 3: Tap on the Always-on display.
This AOD shows a clock and notifications on the lock screen when you receive a new notification.
Step 4: Tap on Clock Style.
Step 5: Select a Clock from the list.
Step 6: Tap on the Colour tab and select your favorite clock color.
Step 7: Tap on Done.

Thank you however I was hoping your settings would fix the issue I have.
This setting has not over-written the normal phone clock and charging info but instead, it has placed a second overlay over the top of the old information.
Now what is really bizarre is I now have 2 clocks – with 2 different times by the way – one over the top of the other.
Do you know of this issue and how I might resolve it.

Is there a way to actually move the clock display so that it doesn’t cover important section (i.e., person’s face) of a picture I use as my lock screen?
You can’t manually change the clock position. Select the clock from the available list that not cover your important section.
