How to Enter Google Pixel Into Recovery Mode

Here’s how to enter recovery mode on Google Pixel XL and Pixel using hardware key or ADB in Windows PC. It’s quite simple to enter Google Pixel into Recovery mode using the hardware key. Different Android device has slightly different settings to boot into recovery mode. Most of all we use recovery mode when Pixel phone is not responding or won’t turn on. In the Android recovery screen, you can always see certain options including reboot system now, reboot to bootloader, view recovery logs, Apply update from ADB, Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe cache partition and power off.

Enter Google Pixel Recovery Mode Using Hardware Key

Step 1: Turn off your Google Pixel and Pixel XL.

Step 2: Press & hold the volume down button and the power button at the same time until the phone Android system recovery screen appears.

By default “Start” button is shown.

Step 3: Press the volume down button until view the Recovery mode.

Step 4: Press the power button to restart into recovery mode.

How to Boot Into Google Pixel and Pixel XL Recovery Mode Using ADB on Windows PC or laptop

Step 1: Connect your Google Pixel device to PC using a USB cable.

Install ADB / USB driver on your PC for the Google Pixel device.

Step 2: Navigate to android-sdk-winodws\platform-tools directory.

Now, open the command prompt in your desktop or laptop devices.

Step 3: Type the adb reboot recovery command on your PC and press the enter button.

Now your Google Pixel phone will turn off and boot into the recovery mode.
