How to Enable Pixel Visual Core on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL
To use this camera HAL HDR+ option on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, first of all make sure to enable developer mode in your devices. You’ll enable it using the below settings in your devices.
Step 1: Go to Settings in your Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL devices.
Step 2: Tap System.
Step 3: Tap About phone.
Step 4: Scroll down up to the end of page and tap the Build number 7 times.
You can see this message on screen: You are now a developer!
Now turn on developer mode in your Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 devices. Let see settings to enable Pixel visual core on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices.
Step 1: Go to Settings in your Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL devices.
Step 2: Tap on System.
Step 3: Tap on Developer options.
You’ll see camera HAL HDR+ option under Debugging section. By default disable this option.
Step 4: Scroll down to Debugging section and enable camera HAL HDR+ in your Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL
If you’ve already updated latest Android 8.1 Oreo devices, you can enable camera HDR+ using the below settings in your Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices.
Step 1: Open Camera app in your Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL.
Step 2: Tap on Three horizontal lines from the top left side corner.
Step 3: Tap on Settings.
Step 4: Tap on Advanced under Photo section
Here you can see Pixel 2 HDR+ control options (Android 8.1 OS). By default HDR+ auto set.
Step 5: Enable HDR+ on or HDR+ Control (Stock Android 10) in Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
