By default enable app actions on Android Pie 9 devices. You can use app actions on Android Pie to see the most used phone calls or messages on the app drawers. So you’ll quickly use phone numbers or messages directly using this app drawer setting. If you don’t want to show, just turn off app actions on Android 9 Pie using home screen settings in your Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, and non-pixel devices. Also, turn off suggested apps on your Android devices. Google Pixel devices first of all got app action features in Android P Beta 3 or Android P Dev preview 4.

How to Enable or Disable App Actions on Android 9 Pie
Check out below given setting in your Pixel and non-pixel devices.
Step 1: Tap & hold the blank space in your Android 9 Pie home screen.
Step 2: Tap Home settings.
In android Pie home screen settings, you can see notification dots, at a glance, add the app icon to the home screen, display Google app, suggestion, home screen rotation, and change icon shape options. By default disable allow home screen rotation in your device.
Step 3: Tap Suggestion.
You can see below given three options in your device.
Apps:
You can see all the apps list at the top of your device. If disable this option, turn off app suggestions in your Android Pie 9.0 device. Now open the Android Pie app drawer, you can’t see apps list at top of your app drawer.
Actions:
See the most used contact name or chat message or apps on your app drawer below the first raw apps list. If you don’t want to show these apps icons, disable app actions Android 9 Pie.
Overview Selection:
This is the newly added feature on Android Pie 9.0. You can copy text & images even switching apps in your device. When switching apps on android 9 Pie, touch & hold text and images to see actions in your Pixel phone.
Step 4: By default enable app actions.
Step 5: Toggle off “Actions” (Show above screenshot).
Now you can’t see app actions on the app drawer list in your Pixel and non-pixel devices. If you don’t want to turn off app actions, just remove app actions using below given settings.
Don’t Show or Turn Off App Actions From App Drawer on Android 9 Pie
Step 1: Open App drawer in your Android Pie 9.0
Step 2: Tap & hold the App action you want to remove.
Step 3: Drag it to “Don’t show” on the home screen
Now individual removes app actions from the app drawer in your android Pie 9.0 device. Automatically add another app after sometimes.
How to Turn Off App Suggestion on Android 10
Long press on the blank area > Home settings > Suggestions > Toggle off “Apps” > Turn off
