How to Enable Now Playing on Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL

First of all, activate now playing on Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL using the below settings.

Step 1: Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen to open the app drawer on Pixel 3a.

Step 2: Tap the Settings app.

Step 3: Tap Sound.

Step 4: Tap Now Playing.

Step 5: Toggle on Show songs on the lock screen.

Now plug in your device and connect Wi-Fi to download song database so easily recognize songs on Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a XL.

Step 6: Now you’re device automatically identifies songs you hear. You can see the song name on your device status bar.

Settings > Display > Advanced >  Lock screen display > Now Playing

Turn off song notifications from top of the screen

If your device locked, you can see notifications on top of the screen. Tap the notifications twice to view song detail. If using your Pixel, expand notifications, and then tap the song.

Settings > Sound > Now playing > Notifications > Toggle off show notifications

View Now Playing history on Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL

Find songs you heard, share music or listen to a song on music app using this setting.

Settings > Sound > Now playing > Now playing history > List of songs listened

Remove Now Playing History on Pixel 3a and 3a XL

It will remove all songs from Now playing history in your Google Pixel 3a and other latest Pixel devices.

Settings > Sound > Now playing > Now playing history > Three vertical dots at the top right corner > Remove all > Remove
