Here’s how to enable and use reading mode on OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8. When turning on reading mode, it will change the display screen in the Chromatic effect (Desaturated image) or mono effect (More contrasty) when you read Digital Magazines, e-books, Kindle apps, etc. By default turned off reading mode on your OnePlus.
You need to add apps to automatically turn on reading mode in OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 devices. Also, enable the block peek notifications on your phone. You can change the settings for reading mode in display settings.

Step 1: Swipe down the notification panel from the top of the screen and tap the Settings gear icon.
Step 2: Tap Display.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap Reading mode.
Step 4: Toggle on Turn on Reading mode.
Step 5: Choose the option you want to activate the reading mode.
How to Automatically Turn On Reading Mode
Reading mode will turn on automatically when these apps are opened and disable when apps are closed.
Step 1: Swipe down the notification panel from the top of the screen and tap the Settings gear icon.
Step 2: Tap Display.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap Reading Mode.
Step 4: Tap Add apps for Reading Mode at the end of the page.
Step 5: Select the app from the list.
Chromatic effect: Makes your screen more comfortable color reading experience.
Mono effect: Makes you more immersed in words.
Step 6: Choose the effect from the Chromatic effect or Mono effect.
How to Remove App From Reading Mode
To change the effect, you have to first remove that app from the list using the below settings.
Settings > Display > Reading mode > Tap X icon in automatically turn on for these apps section
How to Turn Off Reading Mode
Settings > Display > Reading mode > Toggle off Turn on Reading Mode
