This tutorial explains how to set up and use Ambient display on OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7. By default turn on Ambient display in OnePlus 7 Pro. So automatically wake the screen when you receive notifications in a device. It will use to display content on the lock screen in your OnePlus devices. You can pick up your phone or tap the screen on the lock screen to show missed notifications on the lock screen display in your OnePlus device.

How to Turn On and Use Ambient Display on OnePlus 7 Pro
You can customize the ambient display in OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 using below given display settings.
Step 1: Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen to open the app drawer.
Step 2: Tap the Settings app.
Step 3: Tap Display.
Step 4: Tap Ambient display.
Step 5: Turn on new notification toggle at the end of the page to turn on Ambient display in your device.

When to show
Here you can see Pick up your phone to show and Tap the screen to show options. When turning on this toggle, your device show received notification on the lock screen in your OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7.

Show music information and upcoming events in your device. Toggle on the Media player and calendar event if you want.
Clock style
By default set Ambient display clock style in your OnePlus. To change the Ambient display clock style, make sure to turn on Pick up your phone to show toggle in your device. Select the OnePlus 7 Pro clock style from Classic/Analog/Digital you want to set.
For updated Android 10 OnePlus 7 Pro, go to Settings > Customization > Clock style > Select the clock style > Tap Right arrow icon at the top right corner.
Display message
You can add anything you want to show on the Ambient display screen when your device lock. Add a name, phone number, or other important info that may useful if your device lost.
New notifications
It will wake up screen when you receive notifications in your device. Enable/disable new notifications to show a message on the lock screen, along with horizontal light.
