Force Restart your Pixel

Long-press the power button and volume up button until you can see the Google logo. Automatically restart your Pixel device.

Charge your Pixel

Put your Pixel phone in charge. Ensure you use the original charger to charge your Pixel. Also, make sure the cable and power outlet is not faulted. 

Start your Google Pixel in Safe Mode

Make sure to switch off your Google Pixel. When you enable safe mode, it will disable the third-party app from your phone. 

Step 1: Long-press the power button until the Google logo animation start.

Step 2: When the animation starts, long-press the volume down button until you view the safe mode icon at the bottom left corner.

If your Pixel turns on, it means one of the downloaded apps is causing the black screen of death or touchscreen not working problems. Restart your Pixel to get rid of safe mode. Now, remove the downloaded app one by one until you find the app causing the problem. After seeing the app, re-install other apps from the play store.

Check for software or hardware issues if you still face the problem in safe mode.

Factory Reset using Recovery Mode to Fix Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro Black Screen Issue

Make sure to back up or restore your data before applying the below steps. It will remove all your phone data.

Step 1: Touch & hold the Power and volume down buttons at the same time until the Start menu view.

Step 2: Press the Volume down button until the Recovery mode view.

Step 3: Press the Power button.

Step 4: You can see “No command” with the screen’s Android robot exclamation mark icon.

Step 5: Long-press the power key and press the volume up button once to boot your Pixel into recovery mode.

Step 9: Press the Power button to wipe cache data on your Pixel.

You can see the wiping data process at the bottom left on your Pixels. Wait until complete the process is done. You can see the Reboot system now after completing the process.

Step 10: Press the Power button to reboot your Pixel 7 series.

Wait until you restart your Google Pixel device. You can restore all your data using your Gmail account.
