How to Use Screen Pinning in Google Pixel 5
First of all, you need to turn on app pinning toggle in your Pixels (Running Android 11 Stock OS) devices using the below settings.
Step 1: Swipe up from the bottom to open the App drawer.
Step 2: Tap on the Settings app.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap Security.
Step 4: Scroll down at the end and tap on Advanced.
Step 5: Tap on App pinning at the bottom.
Step 6: By default Turned off toggle.
Step 7: Toggle on the button. 
Step 8: Tap OK to enable it.
Step 9: You can see Turned on app pinning in your Pixel.
Also, enabled ask for unlock pattern before unpinning option in your Pixel. You can disable it anytime.
How to Use App Pining in Pixel 5
Step 1: Swipe up from the bottom, hold, then release to see the Recent apps list.
Step 2: Tap & hold the app icon (We select YouTube) at the top.
You can see app info, Split screen, Pin, and Pause app options in your Pixel running stock Android OS.
Step 3: Tap Pin.
You can see the pop-up screen in your Pixel. Tap on Got it.
Step 4: Now, you can only access YouTube app on your Pixel. You can’t go back and go to the home screen until unpin it.
How to Unpin Apps on Pixel 5
The different device has slightly different settings to unpin apps on Android smartphone.
