Do you want to set up a fingerprint scanner on your Pixel 5? Here’s how to add fingerprint (Pixel Imprint) on Google Pixel 5. You can quickly unlock your Pixel using the back of your phone fingerprint scanner. Only one biometric security is available in your Pixel 5. Also, use other lock screen security like Pattern lock, PIN, Password, etc. You can rename or delete fingerprints anytime on your Pixel 5 device.

How to Add Fingerprint (Pixel Imprint) on Google Pixel 5

Step 1: Pull down the notification tray twice from the top and touch the Settings icon.

Step 2: Scroll down and touch Security.

Step 3: Touch on Pixel imprint under the device security section.

Step 4: Select a backup screen lock (We select Pixel imprint + Pattern).

Step 5: Draw a pattern lock and touch the Next button at the bottom right.

Step 6: Draw the pattern again and touch the Confirm at the bottom right.

Now, select the lock screen notifications display settings and touch on Done.

Step 7: Put your finger on the back of the fingerprint sensor and lift it when you feel a vibration. Wait for the fingerprint added message and tap on Add another or Done.

Alternative Way (Android 14): Settings > Security & privacy > Device unlock > Fingerprint & Face Unlock > Choose a backup screen lock > Set pattern > Next > Draw pattern again > Confirm > Choose how lock screen notification display > Done > Fingerprint unlock > I agree > Start > Touch & hold the fingerprint sensor until complete the process > Done.
