Want to make calls over Wi-Fi on Google Pixel 2 XL? Here’s how to disable or enable WiFi calling on Pixel 2 XL. Not all carriers supported calls over Wi-Fi. First of all turn on this feature in your device settings and after that, you can make calls over Wi-Fi in Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL device. How to Enable WiFi Calling on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL
There are two ways to make a call over Wi-Fi on Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, and other Pixel devices.
Turn on WiFi Calling Google Pixel 2 If Carrier Support – Android 10
If your carrier supports this setting, you can see below given Wi-Fi calling settings in your Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, and Pixel 3 XL devices.
Step 1: Open the Phone app in your Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL.
Step 2: Tap Three vertical dots (More) at the upper right corner.
Step 3: Select Settings.
Step 4: Tap on Calls.
Step 5: Tap on Wi-Fi calling.
By default turned off Pixel 2 XL WiFi calling.
Step 6: Toggle on “Off”
Step 7: Make a phone call and you can see the WiFi icon on the calling screen.
If you can’t see this option, it means your carrier doesn’t support Wi-Fi calling. You’ll use a VOIP service to make calls over Wi-Fi. Check out below given settings.
Alternative Way: Settings > Network & internet > Mobile Network > Advanced > Wi-Fi calling under the calling section > Toggle on “Off”
Enable WiFi Calling on Pixel 2 XL using VOIP Service
Now you’ll make a call over Wi-Fi on Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL through voice over IP service.
Step 1: Open the Phone app in your Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL.
Step 2: Tap More at the upper right corner.
Step 3: Select Settings.
Step 4: Tap Calls.
Here you can see calling accounts, fixed dialing numbers, call forwarding and additional settings options.
Step 5: Tap Calling accounts under call settings.
Step 6: Tap SIP accounts.
Step 7: Tap + icon at the upper right corner.
Step 8: Enter Username or ID, password, and server of your new SIP account.
Also use option settings to change the port number, nickname, and other details.
Step 9: Tap Save at the upper right corner (Show above screenshot).
Now you can see Wi-Fi calling icon or Internet call on the screen when connected to the internet and make a call over Wi-Fi on Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
