Do you want to close all running apps on your Google Pixel 8 series? In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to stop apps from running in the background Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Background running apps slow down your phone’s performance and reduce battery life on your Google Pixel phone. You can also turn off the app’s background mobile data to stop the app from using cellular data in the background. 

Swipe up and hold from the bottom to view all running or recent apps on your Pixel phone. Swipe the screen on the right side and tap Clear All to close all running apps on Google Pixel 8 devices.

How to Stop Apps From Running to the Background on Your Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro

Step 1. Slide up slowly upwards from the bottom of your screen to view the running apps on your Google Pixel.

Step 2. Swipe up the app you want to close that specific running app.

Step 3. Swipe the screen on the right side and tap the Clear all.

If you can’t find the developer options, go to Settings > About phone > Tap Build number 7 times. Enable developer mode on your Pixel device.
