Background running apps slow down your phone’s performance and reduce battery life on your Google Pixel phone. You can also turn off the app’s background mobile data to stop the app from using cellular data in the background.
Swipe up and hold from the bottom to view all running or recent apps on your Pixel phone. Swipe the screen on the right side and tap Clear All to close all running apps on Google Pixel 8 devices.
