Here’s how to restart Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. You can use five methods to reboot the Google Pixel 8 series, including the Power & volume up buttons, power button, accessibility menu, new power button (Android 14 Version) in the quick panel, and Google Assistant. Restarting your Pixel will refresh the system to stop background running apps & all processes and remove unnecessary junk files.
You can force restart your Google Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 to long-press the power and volume up buttons simultaneously until turn off your Pixel’s screen. Turn on your Pixel automatically.

1. Use New Power Button in the Quick Settings Panel (Android 14 Version)
Swipe down the notification shade twice and tap the Power button in the bottom right corner on your Pixel devices.
Tap the Restart in the power menu to restart the Pixel 8 series.

Touch and hold the power button to view the power menu, and tap Restart to reboot your Pixel.
3. Restart Google Pixel Without the Power Button (Use the Accessibility Menu)
Go to settings, find the Accessibility, and tap it.
Scroll down and tap the Accessibility menu in the interaction controls section.
Toggle on the Accessibility Menu shortcut and tap Allow.
Tap the Accessibility button, tap the Power icon, and tap Restart to Pixel 8 restart.
4. Use Google Assistant
Launch the Google Assistant and say Restart the phone. You can see the power menu on your Pixel. Tap the Restart in the power menu to restart the device.
