Step 1: Swipe down the notification panel at the top and tap on the Settings gear icon.
Step 2: Tap on Apps & notifications.
Step 3: Tap on Advanced.
Step 4: Tap on Default apps.
Step 5: Select the App (We select the SMS app) you want to change.
Step 6: Choose the Message app from the list.
Alternative Way: Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Messages > Advanced > SMS app > Choose the default SMS app you want to set
