Do you want to access your Pixel device with one hand? Here’s how to use one-handed mode on Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. You can access the one-handed mode using the accessibility button (Buttons or Gestures) or press & hold both volume keys on your Google Pixel devices.

Follow the settings below to enable one-handed mode on Google Pixel devices running Android 14.
Enable One-Hand Mode on Google Pixel: Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro
Go to Settings, tap the System, and tap Gestures.
Tap the One-handed mode.
Toggle on the Use one-handed mode button.
You can choose from two options when you swipe down on your Pixel.
Pull screen into reach: The top of your screen will move into the thumb’s reach.
Show notifications: Notifications & settings will appear.
How to Add One-Handed Mode Shortcut on Google Pixel Screen
You can use the accessibility button (Use button or gesture) or volume keys to quickly access one-handed mode.
To add a one-handed mode shortcut, go to Settings > System > Gestures > One-handed mode > Toggle on the One-handed mode shortcut.
Tap the One-handed mode shortcut, and choose how you open one-handed mode on your Google Pixel: Tap the accessibility button (We Selected), Hold the volume keys, and tap Save.
Tap the Accessibility button on the screen to view the one-handed mod screen. You can easily use your Google Pixel 8 Pro with one hand.

Settings > System > Keyboard > On-screen keyboard > Gboard > Preferences > One-handed mode in Layout section > Choose from Off (By default), Right-handed mode, or Left-handed mode.
