Here’s how to block a phone number on Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. When you block a contact on Google Pixel 8 devices, you won’t get any phone calls or text messages from that number. You can block private numbers to enter manually or select the contact from your phone list to block calls or messages. Also, block calls from unknown callers on your Google Pixel devices.

Using Recents Tab
Open the Phone app & tap the Recents tab at the bottom of your Pixel device.
You can see the saved contacts, unknown numbers, or private numbers here.
Long-press the contact you want to block and tap Block/report junk.
You can see the pop-up message for the block. Tap Block to block the number.
Alternative Way: Phone app > Recents tab > Tap Any number you want to block > History > Three vertical dots > Block > Block.
Using Phone App
Open the Phone app on your Pixel device.
Tap the Three vertical dots (More) in the upper right corner.
Select Settings.
Tap Blocked numbers.
Tap Add a number.
Enter the mobile number you want to block and tap Block.
