You can enable Split-screen mode in android 9 Pie using the recent apps button on your devices. This is helpful to watch YouTube videos or movies and surfing the web at the same time in your device using this Android Pie multitasking feature. How to Use Android Pie Split Screen MultiTasking Mode
First of all install android P Beta in your Google Pixel, Pixel XL and other supported devices. After following the below settings.
Step 1: Tap a recent apps button in android Pie 9.0 from any screen.
You can see the most recently used apps list on your devices.
Step 2: Swipe screen right side to find the app you want to use as a split-screen mode.
Step 3: Tap App icon at top of the app (Show above screenshot).
Step 4: Tap Split screen.
Now top half of the screen set in your device.
Step 5: Select another app.
Now this selected app opens in the bottom half of the screen. Enjoy this android Pie multitasking feature and use your favorite two apps at the same time and save time. Long press the slider in the middle of the screen and move up or down to adjust the screen display.
Step 6: To change the app, tap the Recent button (Intents button).
Step 7: Select the app you want to add.
“The app does not support the Split screen” message view while the app not supported this feature.
Note: Not all apps supported this split-screen view feature.
Exit split-screen mode in Android Pie 9
Tap and hold the slider and swipe down to the end of the screen.
How to enable Split-screen mode using android 9 Pie navigation gesture control
First of enabling android P navigation gesture in your devices using below settings.
Settings > System > Gestures > Enable Swipe up from any screen
Now you can see the above-given screen in your Google Pixel and other supported android Pie 9.0 devices.
Step 1: Swipe up from any screen to view the most recently used apps list.
Step 2: Swipe the right side to find the app you want to use as multi-tasking.
Step 3: Tap App icon at top of the app.
Step 4: Touch Split screen.
Step 5: Select another app from list.
