How to Turn On AutoCorrect on Android 13, 12, 11 Stock OS
The steps may vary slightly depending on the specific version of Android running on your device.
For Android 13, Android 12, and Android 11
Step 1: Go to Settings.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap on System.
Step 3: Tap Languages & input.
Step 4: Tao On-screen keyboard in the keyboards section.
Step 5: Tap Gboard.
Step 6: Tap Text correction.
Step 7: Toggle on Auto-correction in the corrections section.
For Android 10 and Android 9 (Pie)
Settings > System > Languages & input > Virtual keyboard > Gboard > Text correction > Toggle on Auto-correction.
Turn On Auto-Correct in Android 8.0 & 8.1 (Oreo)
Settings > System > Language & input > Virtual keyboard > Gboard >Text correction > Correction > Toggle on Auto-correction
For Android 7.1.2 (Nougat)
Step 1: Open the App drawer on your Android 7.1.2 device.
You can see different sections, including wireless & networks, device, personal, and system.
Step 3: Tap on Language & input under the personal section.
Step 4: Tap the Virtual keyboard under the keyboard and input method section.
You can see Gboard & Google voice typing keyboard on your Android 7.0 devices.
Step 5: Tap on Gboard.
You can see the below screen under Gboard keyboard settings.
Step 6: Tap on Text correction.
You can see the auto-correction option under the correction section.
By default, enable auto-correction on your Android 7.0 & 7.1 devices.
When you type any text, it will check for spelling errors. Suppose an incorrect spell, red underline that word.
Step 7: Toggle on Auto correction on your Android 7.0.
Turn Off Autocorrect Android 13, 12, 11
Settings > System > Language & input > On-screen keyboard > Gboard > Text correction > Toggle off Auto-correction
