When you create a new WordPress blog, you have to need install plugin in WordPress blog such as social media for sharing, security, SEO, Ecommerce and more. You can download and install WordPress plugins in three ways including directly search & installs plugin from WordPress admin panel, download file (Zip) and upload it and the last one is using the FTP manager of your host.
We have used WordPress to create a website or blog. In WordPress 2.7 & above version, you can directly activate or install WordPress plugin from the WordPress dashboard admin panel without download it. Follow below given three methods to install a plugin in WordPress blog.
How to Install Plugin in WordPress Blog: 3 different ways
Check out below given different methods to install a plugin in a WordPress blog post.
1st Method: Install WordPress plugin using the admin panel
Step 1: Go to WordPress admin panel & click on plugins
Step 2: Tap on “Add New”
You can see the above screen on your WordPress dashboard
Step 3: Enter the name of the plugin in “search plugins” box & press enter
Step 4: Tap on “Install Now” of your selected WordPress plugin
Step 5: You can see the above screen on your dashboard. Click on “Activate plugin”
Now WordPress plugin installed or activate on your blog. You would have configured the settings whatever you need using plugin settings.
2nd Method: Install plugin in WordPress blog using download & upload files (Zip)
Step 1: Download plugin from the source which will be Zip file
Step 2: Go to WordPress admin panel & click on plugins
Step 3: Tap on “Add New”
Step 4: Click on “Upload plugin”
Step 5: You can see the above screen on your dashboard. Click on “Choose file” button, browse the file & upload it
Step 6: Click on “Activate plugin”
That’s all. Now installed WordPress plugin.
3rd Method: Install a WordPress plugin on your WordPress blog using FTP program manager
Step 1: Access your host using an FTP manager
Step 2: Upload zip file from WP-content /plugins /
Step 3: After uploaded file, tap on “plugins” in the WordPress admin panel
Step 4: You can see the uploaded plugin. Click on “Activate plugin”
