How to enable fully Gesture navigation in Android Q

Google launched Android Q Beta 3 developer preview at Google I/O 2019. This Android Q Beta 3 for Pixel include new features such as dark theme, new gestures, focus mode, live actions, Family link and other settings. But in this tutorial, I’ll show you steps to enable fully Gesture navigation in Android Q 10 on Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Google Pixel and Pixel XL.

You can enable the new gestures in Android 10 Q using system navigation settings. It include three navigation options including fully gesture navigation like iPhone X style, 2-button navigation and 3-button navigation system. Change the gesture you want to use in your Pixel devices. Follow below given step by step process to enable fully Gesture navigation in Android Q 10.

You can set fully gestural navigation in Google Pixel and other Pixel devices using below given system settings.

Step 1: Swipe down notification panel twice from top of the screen on your Pixel device

Step 2: Tap settings icon

Step 3: Tap System at the end of the page

 

Step 4: Tap Gestures

Android 10 Q gestures includes swipe fingerprint for notifications, jump to camera, prevent ringing, Flip camera, Active Edge, system navigation and other settings.

2-button navigation

To switch apps, swipe up on the home button. Swipe up again to see all apps. Works from any screen. You’ll no longer have an overview button on the bottom right of your screen.

3-button navigation

Classic android navigation mode where going home, switching apps, and going back is accessible via buttons.

Step 6: Choose system navigation from above given three options
